I wanted to share a few new subtle additions to our home decor.  Here is some burlap and lace bunting I made and hung on the mantel shelf! I think bunting is just so fun!:) I love words a lot too, so of course now that it is up I am contemplating adding a word to the bunting:)

I got the idea below from a friend, who had covered her lamp with paper for Christmastime.  I thought it was a great idea to add a little splash of color and texture to a lamp.  I used wallpaper on our lamp…it would also be fun to explore using different fabrics! I like how subtle the paper is, yet it adds so much in the way of texture, and you can change it whenever you are itching for a new look. For our home, it really helps compliment the neutral colors in the room.  The dark brown of the lamp was beginning to get to me :)

The lighting was less than ideal for these photos, but I hope you can still gain a good sense for what the projects add to the room!:)
